Would you like to author a "Profile" on Microbionet?

We are keen to expand the content on our site and would welcome contributions from our readers. In particular we would like to increase our collection of "Profiles". In return we would cite your name and details on our site. We also offer to publish, subject to our approval, a classified advertisement for you, such as a product or service advertisement or position wanted/vacant advertisement.

Here's how you do it:-

(a) Select to write about a "Profile" for a genus or species currently mentioned on Microbionet or suggest a genus or species of your own choice.

(b) Check out our Genus and Species Profiles to view the format of the information and depth of information required. Microbionet has standardised the presentation of our information. Each Profile contains the same subject headings: classification, biochemistry, genetics, serology, virulence factors, normal flora, pathogens, laboratory diagnosis of infections, enviromental aspects, industrial uses and vaccines. This style of presentation should make it easy for users to use the information they want and to compare organisms.

(c) Prior to preparing a Profile please contact us, here at Microbionet, to confirm that your selected Profile subject is not already being prepared. We will give an appropriate deadline for the submission of your material.

(d) Prepare your "Profile". Note that your material will be reviewed by the Microbionet Editorial Board and if accepted would be added to the Microbionet site in the appropriate page location. Microbionet reserves the right not to publish your Profile on our site, to publish your Profile in whole or part, and to make any amendments to your Profile.

(d) Unlike current Profiles, the profile you author will be presented with your name and email details (if desired). Microbionet will also list any of your microbiological research interests, any job opportunities/positions vacant you may be seeking or product or service you may be involved in.
